INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect the information you choose to give us when you contact us through this website. Depending on which form you use, that includes your name, phone number, email address, zip code or property address, details about the project you are planning, and your preferred consultation time.
When you submit a form we also record technical information sent by your browser — your IP address and browser user agent string — which we use to detect and block spam submissions. If you upload images to us, please note that photos can carry embedded location data (EXIF GPS) that travels with the file.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, prepare and discuss an estimate, schedule and confirm consultations, carry out work you hire us for, and keep you updated on a project in progress. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
TEXT MESSAGING (SMS) AND MOBILE INFORMATION
Providing your phone number on our forms never signs you up for text messages on its own. We send SMS text messages only to people who have separately and expressly opted in by checking the SMS consent box on one of our forms, or who have given us equivalent written or verbal consent. Checking that box is optional, and it is never a condition of requesting a quote, booking a consultation, or purchasing anything from us.
If you do opt in, the messages you may receive from RNR Backyard Remodeling include appointment reminders and confirmations, project and scheduling updates, replies and follow-ups about your quote, and occasional promotional offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message, after which we will send one confirmation and then stop texting you. Reply HELP to any message, or contact us at (408) 668-0111 or info@rnrbackyardremodeling.com, for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the sharing described elsewhere in this policy specifically excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information is not shared with any third party. Mobile opt-in data is used solely to deliver the messages you asked for, and is shared only with the messaging service provider that transmits those messages on our behalf.
We keep a record of each opt-in — the phone number, the date and time, the form it came from, and the exact consent wording that was shown to you — so that we can honor and verify your consent. Opting out of text messages does not affect our ability to contact you by phone or email about work you have hired us to do. The terms governing our messaging program are also set out in our Terms of Service.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
We retain form submissions and consultation requests for as long as needed to serve you and to keep ordinary business records of the projects we quote and complete. Records of SMS consent and opt-out are retained for as long as we operate our messaging program, because we are required to be able to demonstrate that consent. For staff accounts on this website, we store the information in the user profile until the account is removed.
WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Write to us at info@rnrbackyardremodeling.com and we will respond. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes — including proof of SMS consent, which we must retain for any number we have messaged. You may withdraw your consent to text messages at any time by replying STOP, independently of any other request.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA
Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in an access controlled database that only authorized staff can read. Submissions are screened by an automated spam detection service before they reach us.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we handle text messaging consent will be reflected here before they take effect.
